NLP for business

NLP is a broad, practical toolkit for facilitating learning and wider behavioural change. It is often described as the study and practice of human excellence. Whilst it is not free from scrutiny, we believe that when used in the right context, it can help individuals, teams, and businesses excel.

Our NLP model for change is based on a decade of practical application in a wide range of organisations, a wealth of positive anecdotal feedback, and continual professional development.

All of our facilitators and coaches are qualified NLP Practitioners and NLP Trainers. They are also members of the Global Association for NLP (ANLP). We adhere to its training standards, professional conduct, and code of ethics.

As well as providing NLP training and coaching, we also offer business consultancy. We would love to talk to you about how NLP tools and processes can help you achieve your business goals.

Here is some further, optional information about what NLP is and how it may fit within your business:

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is the study and practice of human excellence. It is a collective of tools, processes, and methodologies modelled on prominent therapists who, in their fields, were achieving consistently outstanding results with their patients.

Developed in the early 1970s by Dr. Richard Bandler and John Grinder, it is underpinned by a set of core principles and beliefs (presuppositions), which create the foundations for personal change.

It is widely regarded as a means of developing self-awareness and how we individually and uniquely interpret our ‘external world’ or environment. It helps us transform unhelpful interpretations into more helpful insights and create new strategies and habits. It is a practice that provides us with a broader set of resources to reach high levels of success and fulfillment.

NLP is far-reaching and is practised in many different fields and industries. From leadership and marketing to sports and performing arts, it teaches us how to better resonate and communicate with others with a heightened degree of influence and persuasion.

There are no Jedi mind tricks, no hocus-pocus or black magic involved in learning or practising NLP. Whilst it can be difficult to articulate a single definition, it is much easier to describe what it is not.

Due to its origins and links to therapists like Fritz Perls, Virginia Satire and Milton Erickson, we are explicit in stating that NLP is not:

  • Psychotherapy
  • Psychology
  • Psychoanalysis
  • Counselling
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Clinical Therapy
  • Or… Pseudoscience 🙂

NLP uses structured language patterns and visualisation techniques to redefine how our bodies and minds respond to different experiences. By re-programming our default perceptions and reactions, we can achieve long-lasting, transformative change.

One of the core principles of NLP is that we each have everything we need within to achieve excellence. Each personal change process helps us harness our internal resources, giving us the greatest chance of success when pursuing our goals.

NLP Practitioners work with individuals and groups in various settings in both a personal and professional context. Although NLP is favoured by coaches, trainers, and consultants, anyone with a desire to learn can practice NLP.

We have three different levels of accredited programmes and a range of bite-sized training and coaching interventions. Here is an example of just a few general capabilities you will develop by studying and practising NLP:

  • The conscious use of different language patterns to improve our communication and become more pervasive
  • The ability to elicit a resourceful state of mind and ‘being’ to achieve an optimum level of performance
  • The analysis of our limiting and empowering personal beliefs to help us make greater progress
  • An entire toolkit of personal change processes for helping ourselves and others improve our outcomes
  • Explore the intricacies of human excellence and model a success formula to accomplish our own aspirations
